Description: These extra long silvered blown mercury glass candles were made from the 1930s (perhaps earlier) to around 1950. They were typically used in Christmas floral arrangements, but can also be displayed in your favorite candlesticks year round. The two candles are 14 inches long by just under 1/2 inch diameter. The cork stoppers are slightly different - one has tape wrapped around the base (easily removable), the other has a combination cork and wax bulb stopper. The red painted flame tips and length without stoppers are identical. I found it very difficult to photograph them, but the candles are in excellent condition, still very reflective with shiny, even coloring and finish. There are no scratches, cloudiness, or loss of inner silvering. One of the textured flame tips has a small area of flaking to the red paint.
