Description: Pair Antique Dolls Folk Art Southern U.S. Wonderful & Unique 1930's or earlier. My mother traveled extensively with her ornithologist father during the 1930's and collected some dolls from the southern United States and also in parts of Central America & the Caribbean Islands. This pair, measuring about 13 1/2" to 14" high, is from that collection. Many of the dolls came from the Carolinas and Florida--so thinking that these may be from there but I'm not certain. Please see photos for condition--the clothes (especially of the woman) are badly torn, and of course most awfully torn on the reverse. They do, however, display beautifully and have great character and probably some historical value to collectors who know their stuff. Thanks for looking and maybe bidding.
