Description: Pair of ANTIQUE D'ARTAGNAN MUSKETEER Bronze Copper Clad Art BOOKENDS KBW Bookends depict D'Artagnan, shown posed in the middle of a fight, hat and cape fallen to the ground, with his sword snapped in half. Bronze/copper clad and made by Kathodian Bronze Works in the early 20th Century. 8 3/4 inches tall; and the base is 5 inches by 5 inches. And heavy, at roughly 4 lbs each.They are in great condition for their age but there is some flaking off of the copper cladding in a few places, see photo #12.It also has the typical patina and verdigris that antique copper & bronze generally have.Etched on the back "D'ARTAGNAN K.B.W.", see photo #8.
