Description: Pair of Authentic Hawaiian Petroglyph Rubbings This is a pair of authentic petroglyph rubbings from the big island of Hawaii. There are several sites on the big island of Hawaii where you can find ancient petroglyphs, the largest of which is the Pu'u Loa petroglyph field in Hawaii's Volcano National Park. The National Park Service and the state of Hawaii no longer allows petroglyph rubbings there, as it damages the petroglyphs. The first rubbing depicts a canoe and the second rubbing depicts an ethnic figure. Both are professionally framed and triple matted, with both under glass. The rubbings appear to be done on a heavy cloth, and the use of the black ink mimics the black volcanic rock in that area. Frame dimensions: 19 x 16 x 1"Sight: 12 x 9" Condition:Both rubbings are in excellent condition. There are several small scuffs on the frame with the ethnic figure. The frame with the canoe is in excellent condition. Please contact me with any questions.
