Description: Pair of Charles Meigh & Son Burgundy Maroon & Gold Earthenware 10 1/2 Inch Plates Pair of earthenware plates. Decorated with a maroon burgundy border. With gold bands and gold highlights along the edge. Has an impressed Opaque Porcelain mark on the reverse used by Charles Meigh & Son (1851-1861) and later by Old Hall Earthenware Co Ltd (1861-1886). Also has the pattern number 6414 in red. These have crazing typical of earthenware, wear consistent with age and use including a scratch to the border, some staining, and one has a small hairline extending off the edge. No additional chips or cracks. Each plate measures approximately 10 1/4 inches wide. These are antiques and may have small in manufacture defects that do not affect the display of the pieces. HUIX
