Description: Pair of M1850 US Foot Officer sword mounts. Upper mount is 3.22" long with blade opening 1.13" x 0.38" maximum, and scabbard leather opening of 1.44" x 0.58" maximum. Middle mount 2.25" long with leather opening 1.45" x 0.61" maximum. Both mounts have suspension rings, one is missing its set screw. Upper mount has one substantial ding on the side that has been there a long time. Mounts have an attractive mustard patina with spotting.
