Description: Normal 0 false false false EN-GB X-NONE X-NONE Pair of small antique Britannia metal art nouveau jardinières Lovely items. Could be used as plant pots for small succulents or as standalone decorative pieces. They would also work with tea light or votive candles. The markings on the bottom confirm that they were made by James Deakin and sons of Sheffield England between 1871 and 1939. Britannia metal is an alloy of pewter – these would once have been silver plated but that has, over time, partially rubbed away leaving an excellent patina. The design is very typically floral art nouveau.9.5cm high. 10.5cm max width. Excellent antique condition. Very minor wear and tear but no damage.
