Description: Up for sale is a Pair of Vintage Vitrified China Divided Plates Marked FH and Made by Albert Pick Co, Chicago. Plates are 10.5" in diameter, are in pristine condition, and appear never to have been used. These plates are marked FH and until recently were described almost universally as being from Santa Fee Railroad dining cars or related restaurants, with the FH standing for Fred Harvey. More recently (last 3-4 years) however, that designation has been show to be incorrect, and they are now considered to have been made for and used in the now defunct Ford Hopkins chain of Midwestern drug stores. The plates themseves are very heavy, weighing just under 3 lbs each, and are still glossy and bright with no sign of use. A great piece of vintage Americana, regardless of where they were intended to be used.
