I absolutely agree with previous comment. This is true disco gem. Vocals are really sexy. You dont need to read before listening any reviews. You will hear it since your turntable cartridge tuch the record surface! Band leader Dale Reed focus on precious arrangements more than on saxophone play. But key figure here is vocalist Clydene Jackson. She did her best on this record. Its is clearly recognizable by listening. This should be easy her solo album. one of the best disco albums ever made. Full of energetic synths, sexy vocals, a relentless beat, no wonder "Beat of the Night" topped the disco charts Patrick Joseph Cowley (October 19, 1950 – November 12, 1982) was an American disco and hi-NRG dance music composer and recording artist, best known for his collaborations with disco singer Sylvester. Along with Giorgio Moroder, he has been credited as a pioneer of electronic dance music. Despite never fully achieving mainstream commercial success, Cowley is nevertheless regarded as a pioneer of early electronic music and the creator of hi-NRG, an uptempo strain of disco. Various 1980s artists such as Pet Shop Boys and New Order have cited his influence as a producer.
