Description: PAULI CARMAN – DIAL MY NUMBER. Pauli Carman was the lead singer of Grammy Nominated, Multi-Platinum Recording Artist “Champaign” with hits like “How 'Bout Us”, “Try Again”, “Off and On Love”. All of the Champaign hits were preceded by classic music videos reaching top five status across the charts on MTV, Vh1, and BET. With Champaign Pauli appeared on such hit tv shows as “Soul Train”, “Solid Gold”, and “American Bandstand”, as well as the international music show “Top of the Pops” in England. He toured in venues such as Madison Square Garden, Cow Palace, United Center Chicago, Sanger Theatre-New Orleans, Epcot Center, Disney World and many others.In 1986 Pauli Carman released his first solo album, “Dial My Number”, scoring an R&B single hit with the title track and delivering some glossy soul-dance music, right in the state-of-the-art mainstream. Production chores and songwritings on half the album were handled by David Frank and Mick Murphy of The System, including “Dial My Number” which peaked at #26 on Billboard’s Hot R&B Singles charts. His second album, ”It's Time” was released the following year. From 1986 till 1987 Pauli Carman released also four singles. Other released tracks are “You And Me” (1986), “In The Heat Of The Night” (1987) and “Flashback” (1986). In 1990, Champaign (including Carman) reconvened to record and the Champaign IV album was released the following year.By 2008, Pauli Carman, the original lead singer, continued to represent the group. The Carma album, was released in 2008, it included original songs along with remakes of The Beatles “And I Love Her” and the Stevie Wonder track “I Love, I Love”.
