This art work was created by Peter Hunt, a Massachusetts artist who lived from 1896 until 1967, and who specialized in primitive and folk art. Translated, the print is titled: "The Summer", and is one of his "The Four Seasons", a series of four prints created in 1946 with each featuring bold, eclectic colors and depicting a couple with different garden motifs for each season of the year. The print will be shipped rolled. The silk screen print is in great, vintage condition, with the colors vibrant and bright, no writing, and minimal soiling and wear. However, there is a 4 inch tear along the bottom edge of the paper, which comes close to, but does not impact, the green colored edge of the print itself, and which could be concealed if framed with matte board.
