At age 32, he received the Academy Award for Skippy (1931)starring Jackie Cooper. He was later nominated for Best Director for Boys Town (1938) starring Spencer Tracy and Mickey Rooney. Karl Freund (1890-1969) was an Austrian-Hungarian director and cinematographer;films include: The Mummy (1932), Mad Love (1935), I Love Lucy (1955). Peter Lawford (1923-1984) was an English-born actor in Hollywood from 1930 andbrother-in-law of President John F. Kennedy. Films include: The White Cliffs of Dover (1944), Son of Lassie (1945), Little Women (1949). Member of the 1960s' Rat Pack which included Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis, Jr. and Joey Bishop.
