Description: Up for sale are 2 dark brown pottery mugs or steins made by Peters and Reed in the U.S.A.. Each mug features brown and dark brown glazing over the distinctive red clay of South Zanesville, Ohio. A raised grape and leaf motif is featured on the front and back. Peters and Reed was in production from 1899 to 1921. Each mug stands 5 1/2 inches tall and measures 4 1/2 inches wide including the handle. The mugs are in good used condition. One mug has a chip on the base (see photo) and a small chip on the rim. There is fine crazing on each of the mugs. There are no cracks. Please send a message with any questions you may have.
