Description: Vintage Pfaltzgraff Village Stoneware Oval Vegetable/Serving Bowl (#241) Old Castle Mark ~ Vintage Bowl ~ Made in the U.S.A. in the 1970s Introduced in 1975, the warm earth tones of the 1970s brought this interpretation of the early Pfaltzgraff crocks. This bowl is from the earlier productions of Pfaltzgraff Village as evidenced by the Old Castle Mark backstamp that has a large elongated castle with the letter "P" inside, followed by PFALTZGRAFF USA©. This mark was used before 1977. This has a classic Early American look that has remained popular for many years, and continues as a strong decorating style today. The Village Pattern has a main creamy gold color with brown color bands and a brown stenciled floral design.
