Signed and inscribed by Levine on the front free endpaper to fellow writer David Kherdian in the year of publication. A nice association copy as Kherdian would later go on to dedicate an anthology to Levine. A solid copy of this important collection of poems that is very prone to wear. Levine would go on, in his long career, to win the National Book Award twice, the Pulitzer Prize, and be the United States Poet Laureate as well.
