Description: *Here you have a Great Bit of Vintage HISTORICAL MEMORABILIA! Please...SEE THE SCAN! This is the vote in the U.S. Congress for the HAWES-CUTTING BILL (Philippine independence bill) featured inside of a complete 1933 issue of LITERARY DIGEST Magazine! This issue includes the article "A PERILOUS FREEDOM HANDED TO THE PHILIPPINES". Nice two–page article! Two Nice Editorial cartoons! MANUEL QUEZON was denouncing the bill, and it was seen as mostly a protectionist bill for U.S. agriculture interests. The piece is written—of course—in the best racist language of the day. It starts out “A kick in the face for the little brown brother…” This is a wonderful time capsule. It is in fine condition with some vintage corner and edge wear. There is a library rubber stamping on the cover. It's not mint, but fairly gently read and a tough find! A great piece FOR THE COLLECTOR! Take it home with you! Winner, please add $5.00 for postage and wonderful packaging. GOOD LUCK! Please Check Out My Ebay Store For More Vintage Memorabilia! THANKS! 14428
