Picasso, Pablo. (1881–1973): Signed Pair of Shorts

Description: Picasso, Pablo. (1881–1973): Signed Pair of Shorts Picasso, Pablo. (1881–1973): Signed Pair of Shorts Picasso, Pablo. (1881–1973) Signed Pair of Shorts Pair of men's white cotton shorts boldly signed "Picasso" in blue ink above the lower left hem. Mounted on a blue background and contained under glass in a gilt wood frame. The signature was collected by artist Robert Freiman ca. 1961. As reported in The Deaf American, November 1973: "Some 12 years ago Freiman met Picasso at St. Paul de Vence. Asked for an autograph, Picasso said he would sign it on Bob's forehead, but Bob said "No, please right on my shorts." So, laughing, Picasso signed his name on the edge of a pair of white shorts Bob was wearing." A most unusual item from the great artist! Some light soiling and stains. Total size 30.75 x 23 inches.
