Description: Here is a vintage ceramic serving piece from the 1940s crafted by Pickard China of Illinois. The oblong creamer has a gorgeous etched gold exterior and an interior of smooth gold. It’s fancy art deco style encrusted with all over 24K yellow gold of the “Rose & Daisy” pattern. Pickard made a large variety of creamer shapes and sizes. This model 518 is not a common one. Condition is very good with no chips, cracks, or crazing. There’s an exterior scuff, see last photo. The creamer stands 3 1/8” to the top of the spout. and 4 3/4” wide handle-to-spout. It has a oval foot diameter of 2 ¼” x 1 ¼”. It has a 6 oz. capacity. On the underside the original owner wrote the date it was likely acquired “5-20-44” in red. The backstamp in gold has a Lion logo above “PICKARD” in a curved banner and “China, Made in USA, 518” below. Thanks for looking.
