Description: Decorative cabinet plate in a floral pattern, decorated by Pickard, Mark 5, cir 1905 - 1910. Artist signed Sinclair (George), cir 1903 - 1910. The blank is Limoges France. The plate is heavily scalloped, with a diameter of 8 1/2 inches. Sinclair specialized in commercial, naturalistic florals. The plate is decorated with three clusters of brightly colored violets and daisies on a pastel background of yellow, blues and greens. A separate group of daisies anchors the center of the plate. Violet buds are interspersed along the perimeter of the plate, and are connected by a green stem line. A wide gold band surrounds the scalloped rim of the plate. Please view all pictures for details. The pictures are made a part of the description. The bio on the artist is from the Collector's Encyclopedia of Pickard China by Alan B. Reed. Please view my other listings.
