Description: Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE We bought this set new in late 1988 or early 1989. The set came with speakers, but, unfortunately, the amp was strong enough to blow the original speakers. (Alcohol and a remote that shoots through a plate glass window can be a bad combo.) The set includes: 1) Pioneer SA 1480 Amp w/built-in Equalizer. 2) Pioneer TX108OZ Tuner. 3) Pioneer EX 9000 Expander. 4) Remote control 5) Pioneer PD 6 Disk Changer. 3 cartridges included. 6) Pioneer CT 1280WR Cassette Tape Player/Recorder. The system was used regularly until 1997 when its use became only occasional, and then in 2014 it was packed away. It has been in storage for the past 10 years. I have the system set-up now and everything works as designed. AMP I had the amp checked before I set it up. Note the technician’s mark (C -V dated 6-24-24) on the bottom of the box. This is the only time the box has even been opened. There is a scratch and a mark on the upper left-hand side of the front plate. The far left-hand slide (60HZ) has a lose connection. If the LEDs do not light-up, just gently “jiggle” that slide. TUNER I do not have a good antenna, but the tuner works great. There is a mark in the finish on the top of the unit. The plug that goes into the amp has one “ear” missing. This has been off some unknown amount of time and does not appear to affect its serviceability. It clicks in properly. EXPANDER There is a scratch and a mark on the upper left-hand side of the front plate. I have, and will include, the appropriate manuals for the Tuner and Expander. These are not original but rather I downloaded them from the internet. REMOTE The remote controls the Tuner, CD changer, and the Tape player. It controls on/off for the system, as well as volume, tuning, fast forward, etc. It works properly. PD M40 6 Disk Changer w/3 Cartridges I have tested the changer with a few CDs and it works great. There are small marks in the finish on the top of the unit. In the photos, two of the cartridges are in boxes and one is in the unit. I do not have the third carry box. CT 1280WR Tape Player The tape player is in excellent condition. I did not record anything on a tape. I had to borrow a tape from a friend to test the unit. I did play in both sides and the sound was good. The auto reverse works properly. These items will be professionally packed and for that reason the time between payment and shipment may be delayed by a day or two. If you have questions, please contact me at your convenience. Please look closely at the photos. Payment through eBay is required. I would be happy to combine items to reduce shipping costs BUT YOU MUST REQUEST THIS SERVICE BEFORE YOU PURCHASE.
