Description: Contains no beer. ICEHOUSE 1/2 PLASTIC BEER BOTTLE WITH CHECKERED FLAG draft beer tap handle. A tribute to the original Plank Road brewery in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Now Miller/Coors. Originally founded by Frederick Miller in 1855. He brought his German yeast strain over to America an purchased the Plank Road Brewery. He changed the name to Miller Brewing that same year. This beer was first created in 1994 after resurrecting the Plank Road Brewery name for Icehouse and Red Dog. Trying to sell them as premium beers under a different name not so closely associated with the Miller brand. Icehouse lager. 5.5%ABV. Ice brewed with a bolder taste. Not sure when they stopped making this. Tap is listed as used but it remains in excellent condition. Close to 30 years old now. Only some scuff marks on the back in the blue area at bottom where Icehouse appears. 1990's 12oz. plastic 1/2 beer bottle with blue cap. Covered in moisture drops and a NASCAR winning checkered flag attached. The original Plank Road Brewery can be seen on the bottles label. A real winner. Looks really cool. Part of a huge collection of plastic 12 oz. half beer bottles with add-ons made by Miller. There were more than 20 different kinds! These were fitted with screws and have universal fittings for add-ons. I have seen lots of different attachments over the years. They make them for all occasions. Very collectible piece. Have only seen one like this and here it is. Stands 12-1/2 inches tall. Tap has been turned and rotated so that all sides are shown. Please look carefully at all the photos.
