It is used to show what the kit is supposed to look like after installation*** We have 34 years of experience manufacturing plastic aftermarket fuel tanks. Kit includes a stainless steel lock ring, 14 zinc screws, and a fuel grade gasket. There is no need for "goop." Using 14 screws helps even out the pressure of the sending unit pushing up since it is spring-loaded, making a secure seal.
