The picture shows 5 similar pieces - length, width, thickness. This is top quality virgin Teflon (r), generically called PTFE. It has about the lowest coefficient of friction of any known material. It is very slippery. The current price of this material is thru the roof. Some listings are asking as much as $2.00 per cubic inch. I am offering a limited quantity of these pieces, in somewhat assorted sizes as noted previously, for $5.00 per 5 piece lot. I have about 12 lots available. The weight per piece varies from approximately 2 oz (80 g), to 2.5 oz (100 g) per piece. Shipping in the US up to 1 lb, including packaging by 1st Class for around $6.50 or heavier packages go by Priority Mail for $8.50 to $15.00, depending on the number purchased. 3 lots can go in one small priority mail box for $8.50. Please note, if you are overcharged for shipping, I will refund the difference. So what can you do with these? Experiment with the slippery nature of the material itself, make small parts that will resist heat as high as 450 degrees (f). Use your imagination. Machining this stuff if extremely easy, just be sure to use sharp tools. It is an excellent heat and electrical insulator. So far as I am aware, almost nothing sticks to this material, so it can't be glued. Fasten it to other things with screws.
