Here’s a brief guide to the differences between a Platycerium pup (OG), tissue culture (TC), and sporelings:Pups and TC plants generally retain the traits of their parent plants.Sporelings, however, can show significant variation from their parents, which often makes them more affordable than TC or pups. That said, exceptional sporelings can develop unique traits. For example, the dwarf version of 'Yellow Moon' was selected from sporelings and is now valued higher than the standard 'Yellow Moon' in regions like Thailand, Taiwan, and Hong Kong.After three years of dedicated collecting, growing, and considerable investment in acquiring Platyceriums from across Asia, I now own over 200 varieties, including different species, hybrids, and cultivars.
