Description: Impressed marked on bottom: GRISWOLD (slant logo) / ERIE / 785 / 3 Offered for auction is this hard to find Griswold Mfg. Co. cast iron, size no. 3 Yankee Bowl, pattern no. 785, circa 1910's. Its top rim measures 10-3/8 inches in diameter, standing 6 inches tall. It has a 6 quart capacity, when filled to 1/4 inch below the top rim. The heat ring measures 5-1/2 inches in diameter. Its weight is 5 pounds 15.8 ounces. Condition: The inner cooking surface has light pitting caused by rust. All rust, grease and carbon has been professionally removed, and the pan has been baked-seasoned with olive oil. There are no chips, cracks, leaks or repairs and, and when sat on a flat surface, there is absolutely no spin or wobble. It is missing its wire tipping ring. The wire bail handle is original and in good form. All lettering is boldly impressed and easily legible.
