Description: NOTE: This version does not include trucks. The kit has been tested with and includes the required hardware for mounting Bachmann #29904 low frame archbar trucks. The kit can also work with many other truck styles, but may require additional spacers/shims depending on the design. This is a primarily laser cut wood kit to build a freelanced 14' narrow gauge outside braced box car. This design is based on the general practices of small 2' gauge industrial equipment from the late 1800's, and has a deck width of 6 scale feet (1.5"). These are fairly straightforward kits to build, and will yield a fine hand-built, unique model with many possible applications. Assembly requires several basic modeling tools including a sandpaper, hobby knife, model saw, weights, right angle blocks, etc. This is a LESS TRUCKS kit that INCLUDES all detailing hardware, and couplers (note that the brake wheel style may vary). Underbody hardware is attached with machine screws threaded into metal inserts, so model assembly, disassembly and maintenance is hassle free. Note that the example images may show the On2 version of the kit, but are representative of the model other than wheel gauge. This craftsman kit recommended for experienced model builders age 16+.
