Due to the lack of oxygen, and not being exposed to the elements. The wood decays at a much slower rate. As it decays the minerals in the surrounding sediment replace the decaying organic matter. Once this process takes place you can be left with some unbelievably beautiful colored pieces based on the mineral composition. Don't miss your chance to own this impressive piece.
