Here is a gorgeous fossil ammonite from the Cretaceous of Morocco. It has been cut in half, with both faces polished, to reveal the natural pyritization that has occurred in it. Plus some chambers now have a whitish calcite. No paint has been used. The halves measure about 1.66" and 1.58" at the longest measurements.
