Description: PONTESA ~ Vintage Set (6) Ironstone 9" RIMMED SOUP BOWLS (Vegetables, 8 Oz.) ~ Spain Description of item... Here we have a beautiful set of (6) early model hand painted ironstone round RIMMED SOUP BOWLS made by PONTESA of Spain in the "Vegetables" pattern displaying varied and colorful vegetables and their leaves. [NOTE: All bowls have different vegetable variations.] Each measures approx. 9" in top diameter x 4" in base diameter x 1-1/2 in side high, can hold up to ounces...to the inner rim. All are in very good maintained (barely/hardly used) condition with no chips or cracks, no damage noted...(minor crazing on one bowl.) The bottoms are marked, "(Crown Symbol) P ~ PONTESA ~ IRONSTONE ~ SPAIN." Came from a private home collection of many years, however the exact ages are unknown, pattern discontinued, circa 1950-70's. This set weighs approx. 5-3/4 lbs., add 2-3/4 lbs. or so for the packing box and packing material. I combine shipping when safe and practical for all items purchased. I currently have a matching PONTESA "Vegetables" covered casserole on auction. Payment and shipping...
