Description: 2 pieces of vintage German porcelain by RW Rudolstadt Germany Porcelain Includes a long neck ewer / pitcher / jug / vase and a Biscuit Barrel Waffle Gilt Cookie Jar Both are marked on bottom in blue with crown/diamond makers mark: Germany RW Rudolstadt. Late 19th Century - early 20th Century The Ewer is an off white custard colored porcelain with hand painted flowers and accented in gold paint. Measures approximately 14” tall and approximately 8” wide. Bottom has “2607” and “28” stamped into it as well as “22” handwritten. No chips or cracks EXCEPT: there is a shallow chip on base approximately 1/2”. Not noticeable unless looking for it. SEE PICS The biscuit cookie jar is an off white custard colored porcelain with textured waffle / basket weave design and smooth panels around sides and on lid featuring colorful hand painted flowers, whose edges and finial handle on lid is hand painted with gilt gold. Measures approximately 8” tall including lid and approximately 5-1/2” in diameter. Has “14” hand painted in black next to Makers mark and also has a very faintly stamped number on bottom: “3769”. No chips or cracks. Finial has some light gold loss attributed to age and gentle use. Nothing that detracts from function or beauty. SEE PICS I am happy to provide additional pics if needed.
