Description: Very rare, mounted, boudoir card-like photos on one thin cardboard sheet or page showing the Madison Street Bridge, which was later replaced by the Hawthorne Bridge, and on the reverse side a rare, high-quality photo of what I’m certain is the original Steel Bridge. It looks like this might have been removed from a book at some point, but I honestly have no idea as to its original origin. It was mounted as shown when I purchased it, and I have been loathe to remove it. Obviously, there are a few condition issues: the cardboard is warped, and there was a news article of some sort at one point glued onto the Steel Bridge photo that was partially removed. There’s also wear on the surface of each photo which can be seen in indirect light, but doesn’t seem to obscure the image otherwise. Measures ~9.5” x 7” with each image about 7.5” x 4.25 - 4.5”.
