Only 871 bronze medals were issued to enlisted men, along with 67 in silver for officers and 2 in gold for generals (see Estrela, Paulo Jorge, One Century of Medals, Bars and Portuguese Military Actions 1860-1961 (2010), p. 3). The medal is in very fine condition; on a correct replacement ribbon.
