Description: Item is a unique matched pair of original vintage/antique horse bridle rosette pins featuring a Fox Hunting Couple With Hounds (huntsman & huntswoman) on a blue background. Horse bridle rosettes were decorative glass domes with pictures of various scenes and subjects with the brass bezels fitted with brackets to accomodate the bridle leather to be slipped through. Each horse would have a pair of rosettes on either side of his/her head. These special antique rosettes were converted with a modern pin back for wear as a heavy brooch, or decorative ornament. Pins measure 1 3/4 inches in diameter. These pins would make wonderful pieces of historical equestrian jewelry for any horse lover. Buyer pays shipping.
