Description: Maker: On the reverse of this lovely salad plate are the green decorator's and white ware backstamps of Charles Ahrenfeldt, one of the great Limoges firms at the turn of the last century. The marks date the plate's production to between 1894 and around 1930. The green retail mark of R. H. Stearns & Co, a high-end store in Boston at the turn of the last century, also appears. Design: The beautiful pattern features delicate pink, purple and yellow flowers against a background of thin, translucent white porcelain, in keeping with the exceptionally high quality that made the company's products so famous and so coveted. Condition: The plate is in excellent condition, especially considering its age and fragile material. There are no chips, cracks, nicks, stains, repairs, crazing or utensil marks. There is light wear to the edge; it can be seen in the photos. Size: The plate is 8 1/2 inches wide and weighs just under 12 ounces. Please check all the photos very carefully - they are an important part of the description.
