Description: PRICE REDUCED 15% 9/2/2024: BERKSHIRE Cutlery Co. easy-opener pocketknife: Very old knife, judging by its pattern; easy openers fell out of favor in 1960's with introduction of the Buck #110 hunter pattern. Other patterns went to fancy handles and interesting blade shapes but EZ-Os are kind of pedestrian---easy to open, for old people. Obscure American cutlery probably dated to 1800s, when every blacksmith also called himself a knife-maker. This knife was used, not hard, but for a long time. Some care was taken to sharpen it, but over the years some owner took a file or an electric grinder to it and left some scratches on blades. Knife walks and talks so well that I felt that it was worth saving. I wet-sanded and polished the blades to a remarkable shine and patched the rear handle slab that had broken off a small piece near the pivot. The value here is due to its age, low-volume pattern, and remarkable condition after rehab. No intrinsic value, but a nice gift for Grampa (or the retired man who cuts your grass). Mailing only to USA-48. Postage is usually between $5.00 and $6.26. Buyer pays $4.00, I will pay the rest. Please see my other knives and save postage. I am liquidating my entire collection; please keep me in your favorite sellers, watching for Old Bryan's Old Knives or the seller name below.
