Description: This listing is for a beautiful, old pantry box that is marked on the bottom with a patent date of 1858. I believe it might have been made in New Jersey – sorry it is hard for me to read the maker’s information that is stamped into the bottom of this lovely box. The box is approximately 6-1/2 inches tall and 8-3/8 inches across the top. There is an old and crude repair on the bottom of the box; and an old but better repair on the lid. Despite these repairs, the box and top are solid. I love this pantry/dry goods box collectors. It’s a beauty! Thank you. I am happy to answer questions.
