Description: INTAKE MANIFOLD 'NOT INCLUDED' (but avalilable for $45.00 extra) This is a professionally rebuilt Tillotson carburetor. The Tillotson Carb. ( as was/is, the Marvel)was a desired alternative to the Stock Zenith. Why? I'm not sure. I own and daily drive either one of the 2 1930 Model A Fords that I own. One Coupe and one Fordor. This Tillotson Carb came off of my 1930 Fordor. I had reasons to take the engines out of both my cars. One for a new clutch and the other because after 94 years the #2 Piston decided it wanted to live in the OIL PAN vs in line with its fellow pistons! Two days after this Tillotson Carb was professionally rebuilt I saw and picked up 2 completely rebuilt Model B Zenith Carbs and decided to run the same Carb on both cars (Model B Zeniths) This Tillotson Carb was on the running and (daily) driving 1930 Fordor when I bought it from a very nice gent and fellow Model A Club of America member in 2019 and I drove the car (1930 Fordor) daily until I decided to R&R the U-joint, clutch disk, Throwout bearing, pilot bearing....and such parts (you all probably know just what I'm talking about) I've been 'apprised' that the Intake manifold on my running, daily driving, 1930 Fordor, has/had been modified by drilling the Carb mounting holes a bit larger than standard since someone had (apparently) redrilled and retapped the original 'ear' mounts on this carb. I guess it's not unusual as 'heavy hands' can easily strip treads while giving your wrench that....'One Last Tug' ( God knows I've doe it more than once) Solution: just connect the Carb to the Manifold with Bolt and Nut......simple.....Home Depot.....$1.12 total.....and I'm going to include both the over size bolts as well as the bolt and nut combo to fit stock Manifold (as shown in photos) I'm also going to include an Air Cleaner with the Carb that came on this Tillotson as/in a package with the Carb. The Air Cleaner doesn't fit on the new Zeiths and is a $50.00 perk. Why an Air Cleaner i ask? Well from where the car came from I've been told that the main reason to run an Air Cleaner is to.......now GET THIS......to keep 'Mud Daubers' from BUILDING A NEST IN YOUR CARB!!! (I'd have never even thought of that)!! BTW... Carb ran great before I had it rebuilt. I just like to put everything back FRESH. Anyway, there you have it. Completely and professionally REBUILT and ready to bolt on and go.
