Description: According to the preface, the author should like to examine the present situation and its significance for the fate of Christianity in the modern world. The author here is building off of the work of Adolf Harnack, who described the disintegration of Christian dogma in the 20th century. This is a snapshot of Christian thought in the mid-20th century, for anyone who is a student of church, history, theology, or American Christianity. The book is paperback, and as you can see was once part of the library collection. There is no writing on any of the pages , but there are certainly signs of aging on the cover, and of course there is the obligatory library card holder inside the back cover. I am a retired priest/professor and I’m looking for a good home for many of the books that I have collected over the years.
