Whether you are looking for authentic humbucking tones or nuanced, sweet single-coil sounds, the S2 McCarty 594 Thinline can seamlessly master both sonic territories thanks to its Maryland, USA-made 58/15 LT pickups and dual volume and push/pull tone controls. The S2 McCarty 594 Thinline is addictive to play, thanks in part to its all-mahogany body, versatile control layout, and bound 22-fret Pattern Thin neck. The distinctive, powerful voice is backed by modern construction, so it plays in tune, stays in tune, and is intonated the entire length of the neck. A zinc two-piece bridge and vintage-style tuners anchor this guitar and stay true to the promise of the McCarty family. Designed to capture the heart of the McCarty family of instruments and stay true to the S2 Series spirit, the S2 McCarty 594 Thinline stands on its own as a gig-ready workhorse for the player who wants to cover a lot of musical ground. After ten years, the PRS S2 Series is being updated with USA-made pickup and electronics for 2024 (and beyond). We are proud to bring this added value to what has become a fully integrated part of our manufacturing line and product offering. We have also updated our Vintage-Style tuners to include a new “Wing” button. While, aesthetically, these new buttons are designed to echo the 12th fret bird wingspan design, they were first and foremost designed for tonal reasons. Because these buttons are lighter weight than their metal predecessors, they are subtracting less energy from the vibrating strings, thus helping the guitar ring longer and at a more musical note. The removal of the tuner’s locking feature on non-tremolo-equipped guitars further decreases their weight. SETUP & INSPECTED BY OUR TECH TEAM All of our guitars come with a FREE professional setup to a comfortable action as specified by that instrument’s manufacturer. Our setups always include inspection of (and necessary adjustment to): action, intonation, tremolo angle, truss rod, frets, nut, bridge, and more.
