Description: Listed for your consideration is a small, vintage saucer from the 1960s-1970s decorated with purple violets and with a gilt (gold-trimmed) edge. It measures 3-7/8" in diameter and is made of a lovely, translucent, white porcelain. It is marked on the back: NW-C-144N. Appears to be hand-painted. Would make a charming trinket or display dish, or perhaps a child's toy. The sweet, understated violet symbolizes humility, innocence and pure beginnings. It also stands for steadfastness and faithfulness in a relationship or friendship. Spiritually, it is often associated with the Virgin Mary, the Mother of Jesus.
