Description: Queen Mary and Princess Mary, her only daughter, 1919 signed photograph on quite glossy, stiff card. Removed by myself from an album owned by Frederick Bland, Head Gamekeeper at Sandringham House from 1901 till 1935 and then retired upon the death of George V to a house provided on the estate owned by the King and his family.Fred's family grew up on this the Royals' favourite shooting haunt. Fred became a close "friend" of George producing game for the Royals when the slaughter was required.Princess Mary, the King's only daughter, was born at York Cottage win 1897 where she lived with her parents on the Sandringham House Estate until her marriage to the later Earl of Harewood. This original print on its correct photographic paper/card was very carefully removed from the album by myself and is in VG condition for its age. Original - NOT a digital or any other reproduction.Princess Mary was well loved because of her work during WW1 for the wounded and serving members of the armed forces. Signed probably for a birthday or merely as a token of thanks to Fred, a valued member of the household as was very normal within the family.
