Description: This is a “Quik-Chek” vintage vacuum tube tester and cabinet. For the younger crowd, these were commonly seen in hardware stores and department stores so customers could test suspect tubes in their tv’s, radios, and phonographs. Replacement tubes were stored below for purchase if required. This was manufactured by the Reliable Electronics Co. sometime in the mid to late 1950’s. It’s been painted up for display, but it seems to work with the few tubes I’ve tested. There are about 100 used tubes that go with the deal.If you’re building boutique custom amplifiers this is not for you. It was not intended to provide specific data. It just indicates if the tube functions. Local pick-up only.
