Description: Here is a set of 25 quilt blocks in the Five Stripes pattern, #1112d, as shown in the Encyclopedia of Pieced Quilt Patterns compiled by Barbara Brackman. Pattern is categorized as a four patch (when four blocks are pieced together) using rectangles only. Design is so named by the Ladies Art Company. Blocks are hand pieced and have been rescued from a previous construction showing loose threads and seam lines. The fabrics are from the late 1800s to early 1900s including shirting prints, indigo blues and woven stripes and plaids. Some of the fabrics are thin and worn and a few seams need to be repaired. These are approximately 6 1/2" square (+ or -) each containing five bars generally in alternating fabric designs. These are generally clean although there may be a spot or two. All of the blocks are pictured, please use the zoom feature on the photos for a better view. Please note, when viewing the photos, a few blocks have torn and missing areas. Item is for only the pictured blocks, no other materials, pattern or instructions are included.
