Description: The Starlight queen quilt (92" x 104") features the new Starlight batik collection from Wilmington Batiks. This stunning collection has been custom-colored for a coordinated palette of warm and cool grays that vary from light to dark shades (some will have blue tones). The dramatic color palette has the richness and depth for which batiks are know. This quilt is sized for a queen bed with a generous 16" drop on the sides. The 12" blocks are square set but colored to create eye-catching diagonal lines. The 6" pieced border on the left and right sides of the quilt center are made up of small and large diamonds that tie the whole piece together. The size of the blocks and piecing means quilters with moderate experience and even confident beginners should find this project very satisfying. There is also a separate kit available to make TWO queen-size pillow shams designed to coordinate with this quilt in a separate listing! NOTE: THIS IS THE KIT VERSION OF THIS QUILT AND NOT THE BLOCK OF THE MONTH! The kit contains a color copy of the Starlight pattern/instructions by Wilmington Batiks along with enough fabric to complete the Queen Size Quilt top as shown in picture 1. This kit contains all fabrics required for the top of the quilt and edge binding. Backing and batting will need to be purchased separately. The overall finished size of this quilt is 92" x 104". Picture 2 shows all the fabrics included in this kit, pictures 3 thru 9 show most of the block styles you will make for this project, and picture 10 shows the coordinating pillow sham kit available under SKU AAFQK-1399 while supplies last. There are no substituted fabrics in either of these kits! 8-1/2 yards is recommended for backing fabric assuming a standard 44/45" width or 3-1/8 yards if using a 108" backing fabric. Additional fabric could be needed if using a directional print or for pattern design matching. Backing fabric and batting are NOT included in this kit. Over 22-1/4 yards of fabric is included with the kit along with the pattern.
