She is #160 out of an edition of 250, and as you can see, included is the deluxe presentation box, and the signed and numbered certificate of authenticity. This charming Alice doll is based on a John Tenniel illustration in the 1890 book "The Nursery Alice" which Lewis Carol adapted for younger children to enjoy Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. That book contains the wonderful illustration of Alice holding a pig. I am including that book with this purchase - a new copy with gold edged pages. (Purchased separately from the doll.) Wright's Alice doll is magnificent, from her perfectly pleated skirt to her sweet face. According to the manufacturer, Alice is sculpted of the finest wool felt, and her hands have individually sewn fingers. Her dress is a sunny yellow felt covered by a cotton pinafore trimmed with teal colored silk detailing. A sash, teal stockings and meticulously hand constructed leather shoes complete her appearance. A little brooch with a scripted letter "A" decorates her collar. The mohair pig doll is also a charmer, with a silk baby bonnet and glass eyes.
