Description: Usually Dick Bartley would dedicate two hours of his show to an artist, then two hours to a classic month & year. This week, though, it's all about the year 1966! The hour titles tell all: Hour One: Unforgettable...1966. Hour Two: The Class of 1966. Hour Three: The Class of 1966 (pt 2) and Hour Four: 1966 Yearbook Special. And a great year for hit music it was, with artists like The Rolling Stones (Paint It Black), Donovan (Sunshine Superman), The Monkees (Last Train To Clarksville,) and on and on with the Beatles, Rascals, Association and more. As you know, Dick included four songs in the clear, high quality for radio station use at the end of the show. I expected they'd all be from 1966, but no! This show has Track 7: Oh Me Oh My by Lulu, Track 8: It's A Cryin' Shame by Gayle McCormick, Track 9: Don't Say You Don't Remember by Beverly Bremers and Track 10: 1900 Yesterday by Liz Damon's Orient Express. Seems to be a female singer theme there. Anyway, enjoy another great show if you get this one, focused on 1966!
