In 1962 he returned to flying duties on Vulcans as Commanding Officer of No.35 Squadron from 1963 to 1965. His full details are shown on the information card included with the cover ~~~~~~Rear Admiral Sir Matthew Slattery KBE Kt CB FR AcSJoined the Royal Navy in 1916 and eventually rose to the position of Chief Naval Representative on the Supply Council, Ministry of Supply. At the outbreak of World War Two he was Director of Air Material at the Admiralty. He commanded the Cruiser Cleopatra in 1941/42.
