The stone is real rainbow moonstone, and the setting is genuine sterling silver, stamped 925.The rainbow moonstone in this pendant has flashes of blues and turquoise. All of the photos in this listing were taken in natural daylight, in my living room - no artificial light was used. The stone is a 14X10mm oval cabochon cut, and it weighs 7.5 cts. As with many rainbow moonstones, this stone does have some inclusions. The sterling silver setting surrounds the moonstone with an oval of silver swirls. Sterling silver butterflies decorate the setting on two sides of the moonstone. This pendant measures 1.25 inches from the top of the bale to the bottom of the silver work. The back of the pendant is fully finished with a pattern of sterling silver circles. This lovely pendant weighs 6.9 grams.
