Marks and age: It has the classic magenta Worcester "51" mark with the crown resting on the globe that came into use in 1876. The letter T is under the mark, indicating that the plate was produced in 1882. The word "England" and the phrase "Made in England" do not appear. Design: The striking pattern brings together elegant raised gold flowers and leaves and a gold butterfly against a rich yellow background. Size: The plate is 6 1/2 inches square and weighs 1 pound 3 ounces. Condition: It has no marks, nicks, chips, cracks, stains, discoloration or repairs. There is crazing - it's more prominent on the back - and significant wear to the design and gold edge; examples are shown in the photos.
