Description: Rare 1896 Kansas City, Pittsburg & Gulf Railway Bridge (KCPG) blueprint. I have little knowledge about this railway but I read online Arthur Stilwell started it in the 1890s but "Trackage on the KCP&G was completed from Kansas City to Shreveport, Louisiana as of March 7, 1897. By Sept 11 of that year the line ran all the way to Port Arthur Texas, a town Stillwell eventually created and named after himself. However, the railroad was in financial trouble by 1898. On April 1, 1900 Kansas City Southern railway took control after a foreclosure sale in Joplin, Missouri." I could not find a KCP&G railroad blueprint online. This blueprint is dated May 4, 1896. The right corner is marked KCP&G RR. Additional sections for cylinder piers, 2nd crossing of Poteau. American Bridge Works Scale 3/4" = 1'. May 4, 1896. There is also a double circle that inside says 1-4894. Condition: Fold lines. Small browning spots here and there. Piece of tape in lower left corner. No tears or missing paper. Please write with any questions.
